Tupelo Honey Cafe

On a recent trip to Asheville, NC for my dear friends, Michael and Amber's wedding we decided to follow a friends recommendation and try a local hot spot, Tupelo Honey.  With rave reviews coming from multiple sources, and a little bit of a hangover that needed immediate attention, we thought it would be the perfect place to go to brunch Friday morning.

Here are Michael and Amber, two of my favorite people God ever made!
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Jones!!!

When we arrived, with our party of 12 on their way, we quickly realized that getting all of us seated together might be an actual miracle, but alas, the lovely servers and manager were able to get us all at least together out on the proch which was just fine for us as the constant breeze and lovely weather was a welcomed relief from the sweltering heat we have been accustomed to in Nashville!

So this may or may not have been a good decision....the jury is certainly still out on that one.  A few of the people in our party thought a Bloody Mary made with moonshine would be the correct remedy for the possible headache caused by our behavior the night before!  Maggie and I opted for your traditional Mimosa for our hair-of-the-dog!

If you are wondering, yes, Maggie ordered mac 'n cheese with her breakfast and I ordered fried okra....quit judging, it was a rough morning!

Local honey!
