Tea Punch

Here in Nashville it seems that caters, restaurants and even individuals are given a certain level of legitimacy by the quality of their tea punch.  We take this very seriously....it is a matter of pride, a sense of acceptance, perhaps even a right of passage for some!  Well maybe it isn't that dramatic, but we like our tea punch!  We even like different varieties, but it must be good.  This is determined much like the Supreme Court's ruling on pornography years ago which stated that they couldn't describe what qualified as pornography but they knew it when they saw it.  We feel the same about a good tea punch....not really sure what makes it good but we certainly know it when we taste it!!!

Recently some friends of mine and I were throwing a shower for a dear friend and thought some tea punch would be perfect to serve as it was to be in the early afternoon.  Mary Morgan said she had a great recipe so she was left in charge!  It will forever henceforth be my go-to tea punch recipe!  It was tangy, sweet, fizzy and perfect!

Tea Punch
1 gallon Milo's sweet tea
1/2 gallon Simply raspberry lemonade
1 large can pineapple juice
2 liter bottle of ginger ale

Combine all ingredients except ginger ale.  Add ginger ale just before serving.

Serve with fresh mint and lemon slices.
Now isn't that just beautiful!
Here are some pictures of the beautiful flowers and set up from our shower!
